(family foundations, heyooo)
in all of these classes they make you introduce yourself.
you know the classic
"tell us about yourself, include a picture, and say something interesting about yourself!"
i never really realize how boring i am until i have to do these introductions.
i normally say something like
"i'm anne, i'm from colorado springs and i work at a daycare and this is my picture."
classy, right? |
but what i really want to say is...
WASSSSUP. da name is spider-anne, and one day i will be spider-man. just wait and see. i really wanna be a mommy and i will be someday, daggumit. if you leave me alone with a bag of chips for 3 minutes those chips will no longer exist. i also consume alarming amounts of dark chocolate. i am really sarcastic and synical and there is a large chance you do not like me but that's alright because i don't like people as a whole so i probably will never talk to you. this also has to do with the fact that i am painfully shy around people i do not know. i am much smaller than the average person, and yes my driver's seat is pulled all the way up in my car. i can't eat most foods that the general population can eat and it really sucks lemons. i have the immune system of a drug-abused fetus and it is not the most handy thing in the whole world. here is my picture. bask in it.
i feel like my colleagues would know me much better this way.
my life as of late:
-sometimes i start out my mornings really grumpy. (not a fan of waking up at 6 am everyday). but then i get to work and these little chubby children run up to me grinning their four tooth smile from ear to ear with their arms outstretched, just wanting to be cuddled. my attitude changes in about .00358 seconds.
-my friends are starting to finally come home from college and it is so awesome to have interaction with people my own age. on saturday i got to go to chick fil a, watch parks and rec, help his little brother figure out something to do with a girl and have elegant conversations like classy old people with one of my best friends. the same kid who also gave me this for my birthday:
THAT is a genuine little sebastian. beautiful. |
-we were learning about adam and eve in my sunbeams class. one of the ladies i teach with said "eve was a woman, the first woman actually!" and one of my brilliant three year-olds said very matter-of-factly, "ah, yes. she had boobs."
-9 DAYS PEOPLE. SINGLE DIGITS. i am freaking out.
